What is a Springform Pan and why do I need one?
Traditionally, a springform pan has been defined as a round pan, that with the aid of a clamp, has removable sides and bottom. Generally used for cheesecakes, these pans allow cakes or tortes to be easily extricated from the pan.
What makes Kaiser Bakeware springform pans special?
For one thing, Kaiser invented the springform pan, the "intelligent round cake pan", and is the world's largest springform pan manufacturer. Keeping ahead of the market, Kaiser then revolutionized the springform concept by recreating the pan in a variety of shapes, sizes, and mold textures. Kaiser Bakeware's pans, designed with the home baker in mind, are manufactured from steel base metal, which provides even and gentle heat distribution for the even browning and baking generally found in professional kitchens. Ranging from the high end steel-gauge, two-layer non-stick, leak-proof La Forme pans to the traditional tinned steel Tinplate pans, Kaiser designs its springform pans with a high degree of quality so you can produce a perfectly moist, tender cake.
In 1919, Wilhelm Ferdinand Kaiser began production of a small line of traditional European bakeware items bearing the family name. Situated in a picturesque German village, the Kaiser Backform (Bakeware) factory has continued to produce its ever-expanding line of bakeware for three enerations and has come to be respected as Europe's largest manufacturer of quality bakeware for the home baker.
In 1984 Kaiser developed and introduced the revolutionary La Forme line of bakeware and accessories. Initially received with skepticism by the competition as being too high-end for the home baker, the La Forme line soon won consumer appreciation and is now considered "state-of-the-art" bakeware.
Today, well into our eighth decade of producing quality bakeware, Kaiser boasts two production facilities in Germany, from which we supply bakeware for over thirty countries worldwide.
